16 Teams For Girls’ National Schools Sevens
16 teams are lined up to play in the national girls’ schools sevens tournament which will be held on the sidelines of the Safari Sevens on 23rd and 24th September at Kasarani.
The teams will be split into four pools of four, the top two teams from each pool securing passage to the cup quarterfinals.
Barchando have been seeded first and headline Pool A which also features Muthambi, Nasokol and Itigo.
Nairobi’s Olympic Secondary School are in Pool B with Chief Mbogori, Mgahulu and Rehema while Pool C comprises Maono Educational Center, Loise Girls, Asumbi Girls and Joserenes Girls High School.
Nakuru Day headline Pool D which also includes Daraja Academy, Rianyachabera and Bofu Secondary School.

Pool C: Maono, Loise, Asumbi, Joserenes
Pool D: Nakuru Day, Daraja, Rianyachabera, Bofu
About The Safari Sevens
The Safari Sevens is an annual rugby sevens tournament held in Kenya. The tournament is run by the Kenya Rugby Union. The competition is promoted as being Africa’s premier rugby sevens tournament drawing tens of thousands to the weekend event.
It is unusual amongst modern tournaments in that it is contested by numerous national representative sides from Africa and beyond, by professional sevens outfits, professional and amateur club sides, invitational teams, universities and schools.
The competition was held at the RFUEA Ground, Ngong Road, Nairobi from its inception in 1996 until 2010 , moving to the Nyayo National Stadium for the 2011 and 2012 editions before settling at the Safaricom Stadium, Kasarani from 2013 to date.
