The Canterbury Rugby Football Union has announced its wider training group for the 2013 ITM Cup season. Thirty players from clubs around Canterbury have been selected in the group.

Canterbury is chasing its sixth successive title this season under the new stewardship of head coach Scott Robertson and assistant coach Jason Holland.

The wider training group provides an opportunity for club players to participate in a pre-season programme to promote themselves for potential selection for the ITM Cup campaign.

Canterbury Rugby’s head coach Scott Robertson is excited about the talent within the group.”The wider training group that we have announced are a great group of guys and there is some real talent within the team. These are players with real promise and have a great future in rugby ahead of them.”
