“It gives me great pleasure to welcome Metropolitan Health as our health partner,” said WP Rugby’s General Manager for Marketing, Gavin Lewis.  “Metropolitan Health is a great fit for our medical team’s needs, and we are grateful for their support.”

Commenting on the sponsorship, Blum Khan, CEO for Metropolitan Health, said: “Being in the healthcare industry, it makes sense for us to be associated with sportsmen who are in top physical condition.  We encourage our clients and the general public to strive to live a healthier lifestyle, and are excited to be associated with the Stormers and  WP Rugby.”

Stormers captain Schalk Burger, who is himself struggling with a knee injury, welcomed the move.  “This year we’ve had a lot of injuries. The medical team ensures that we make the quickest recovery possible and get back on track to play. We’ve got a really good medical team and this sponsorship will mean a lot.”
