Quade Cooper cited for high tackle on Berrick Barnes
Following initial consideration by the SANZAR Duty Judicial Officer Nicholas Davidson QC, Quade Cooper of the Reds will appear at a SANZAR Judicial Hearing after being cited for alleged foul play during a Super Rugby match at the weekend.
Cooper is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (e) Dangerous Tackling when he tackled Waratahs player Berrick Barnes, making contact above the line of the shoulders of the opposing player. The incident occurred in the 63rd minute of the match between the Reds and Waratahs at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Saturday 14th July 2012.
The Judicial Officer for the Hearing will be Paul Tully which will be held by video conference at 2pm AEST, 4pm NZ Time and 6am SA Time on 16th July 2012.
