Australia make 2 changes for England clash
Will Genia returns at halfback in one of two changes to the Qantas Wallabies’ starting team to play England in the second Test at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium on Saturday.
Queensland skipper Genia reclaims the role despite Luke Burgess having his finest game in the Wallabies jersey in the 27-17 first Test win in Perth last Saturday.
Matt Giteau comes back into the side at inside centre at the expense of Berrick Barnes after being a late withdrawal from the first Test through injury.
Coach Robbie Deans has kept faith with the same starting forward pack – with the inexperienced front row of Salesi Ma’afu, Saia Faingaa and Ben Daley – which struggled in the scrums, conceding two penalty tries in Perth.
Qantas Wallabies: James O’Connor, Digby Ioane, Rob Horne, Matt Giteau, Drew Mitchell, Quade Cooper, Will Genia, Richard Brown, David Pocock, Rocky Elsom (capt), Nathan Sharpe, Dean Mumm, Salesi Ma’afu, Saia Faingaa, Ben Daley. Res: Huia Edmonds, James Slipper, Mark Chisholm, Matt Hodgson, Luke Burgess, Berrick Barnes, Adam Ashley-Cooper.
