Sydney – Replacement flyhalf Jonny Wilkinson kicked a long-range penalty to take England to a 21-20 victory over Australia in their Test at Sydney’s Olympic Stadium on Saturday.

Scrumhalf Ben Youngs and winger Chris Ashton scored tries for England, who lost 27-17 to the Wallabies in Perth last week.

Toby Flood slotted a conversion and two penalties, while Wilkinson kicked a 50-metre penalty to give England the lead with about 25 minutes remaining.

Matt Giteau scored all the Wallabies’ points with two converted tries and two penalties.
