Fourie out for 4 weeks after tackle
Springbok centre Jaque Fourie has become the third Springbok in as many weeks to be suspended for dangerous play, receiving a four-week ban.
Fourie was cited for a spear tackle on Australian number eight Richard Brown in the second minute of the Brisbane test. He was subsequently yellow-carded and spent ten minutes in the sin-bin.
Australian fly-half Quade Cooper was cited for a similar offence in the second-half – for which he was also yellow-carded – and received a two-week ban.
Bakkies Botha (9 weeks) and Jean de Villiers (2 weeks) were suspended in the previous two weeks for dangerous play.
