Hollenbach to start in Lions midfield
The Lions were forced into a new midfield pairing ahead of their Vodacom Super Rugby match against the DHL Stormers at Ellis Park on Saturday.
Alwyn Hollenbach comes in at centre for the injured Lionel Mapoe, resulting in Stefan Watermeyer moving to the 13 berth. On the replacements bench MB Lusaseni is primed to make his Super Rugby debut as he comes into the side in place of Willie Britz. JW Jonker takes over from Hollenback on the bench and will provide cover as a utility back.
The Lions returned to Super Rugby last weekend with an opening victory over the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein so this will be their first home Super Rugby match in a year and a half.
The Lions team to play DHL Stormers is: 15. Chrysander Botha, 14. Deon van Rensburg, 13. Stefan Watermeyer, 12. Alwyn Hollenbach, 11. Ruan Combrinck, 10. Marnitz Boshoff, 9. Faf de Klerk, 8.
