Only 5,000 tickets left for Tahs semi
Only 5,000 tickets remain for Saturday’s massive Semi-Final derby clash between the NSW Waratahs and the Brumbies (7.30pm).
With over 38,000 tickets now sold, the match is expected to be played to a record-breaking capacity Allianz Stadium crowd and the message to NSW fans is get in quick!
As well as breaking the Waratahs’ previous record Finals Series crowd of 37,378 (set in 2008 when the Tahs hosted the Sharks in the Super 12 semi-final at Allianz Stadium, then Sydney Football Stadium), the game is on track to attract the Tahs’ biggest ever Super Rugby crowd. The current record is 41,645 achieved back in April 2002 at Allianz Stadium (then Aussie Stadium) against the Brumbies, when NSW recorded a 19-11 regular season match win.
Due to the large crowd, fans are encouraged to get to Allianz Stadium early and take advantage of the entertainment options on offer.
From 5.30pm, kids will love the free skills and drills clinic on offer and the chance to meet some of the Waratahs squad. Plus the earlier Crusaders v Sharks Semi-Final will be shown live on screens around the ground, including on the big screens at the new Sydney Live Plaza, which also offers a range of food and beverage outlets. Gates open at 5.30pm.
Finally, there will be also be pre-match entertainment for all the family on offer in the forecourt, with a free photobooth, fan wall for leaving messages of support for the team, face painting and a live Rugby Panel Show featuring special guests.

The NSW Waratahs have reached the Super Rugby Finals Series on six previous occasions since the tournament started in 1996 (Super 12/Super 14/Super Rugby). They have hosted three previous home Semi-Finals (2002, 2005 and 2008) and contested two Finals (2005 and 2008), both against the Crusaders. They have yet to win the title.
