EP Kings to appear before SARU hearing
The Eastern Province Kings will appear before a South African Rugby Union (SARU) disciplinary hearing in Cape Town on Tuesday after allegedly breaching player eligibility rules.
SARU received a complaint from the Boland Rugby Union that the EP Kings had breached regulation 16.7 of competition rules by fielding Rudi Keil in their match 22 in Saturday’s Absa Currie Cup First Division semi-final in Port Elizabeth. The EP Kings won the match 26-25.
The hearing will be chaired by Koos Basson at SARU’s offices at noon.
