Midfielder JP du Plessis will make a first start for the Toyota Free State Cheetahs when they play the Steval Pumas in Bloenfontein on Saturday.
Du Plessis, who came off the bench in earlier matches, replaces Joubert Engelbrecht in one of two backline changes.

The other is at flyhalf where Pieter-Steyn de Wet will start in place of Willie du Plessis, who like Engelbrecht, will move to the bench.

Regular Griffons lock Werner Lourens has been called into the reserves with Waltie Vermeulen struggling with a knee injury.

The Free State team is: Clayton Blommetjies, Rayno Benjamin, JP du Plessis, Francois Venter, Raymond Rhule, Pieter-Steyn de Wet, Sarel Pretorius, Jean Cook, Neil Claassen, Tienie Burger, Francois Uys, Henco Venter, Rudolph Botha, Torsten van Jaarsveld (c), Kevin Stevens. Replacements: AJ le Roux, George Marich, Werner Lourens, Vincent Jobo, Shaun Venter, Willie du Plessis, Joubert Engelbrecht.

Meanwhile Coaches Jimmy Stonehouse and MJ Mentz made only one change for the match that kicks-off at 15:00.

Hennie Skorbinski was included on the bench and could make his debut if called upon. Renaldo Bothma will play in his 50th match for the Pumas.
