Isbell in for Steval Pumas
Steval Pumas coaches Jimmy Stonehouse and MJ Mentz made six changes to their final match 22 for this weekend’s Absa Currie Cup fixture against DHL WP Friday night at Mbombela Stadium.
The match will kick-off at 19:00 on Friday evening, 26 September.
Of concern is the availability of Renaldo Bothma, who will have to pass a fitness test at Thursday’s captain’s run. Should he not be declared fit, RW Kember will play at no8.
Former Springbok Sevens flyer Ruwellyn Isbell will play on the wing. Frank Herne, Marius Coetzer, Jaco Bouwer, Reynier van Rooyen, JC Roos and JW Bell all move up from the bench into the starting team.
The team to play DHL WP on Friday night is: JW Bell, Ruwellyn Isbell, JW Jonker, Stefan Watermeyer, Rosko Specman, JC Roos, Reynier van Rooyen, Renaldo Bothma/RW Kember, Jaco Bouwer, Corné Steenkamp (c), Marius Coetzer, Lubabalo Mtyanda, Vincent Koch, Frank Herne, Corné Fourie. Replacements: Francois du Toit, DeJay Terblanche, Uzair Cassiem, RW Kember/Doppies le Roux, Dylon Frylinck, Justin van Staden, Jerome Pretorius.
