Kieran Read will make his return to play in 2015 via the Crusaders Knights team on Thursday afternoon.  He is one of four capped All Blacks in the 23-man squad, including prop Joe Moody, lock Dominic Bird and loose forward Luke Whitelock.

The entire starting forward pack is made up of current Crusaders squad or wider training group members.  Alex Hodgman, Codie Taylor and Joe Moody will make up the front row, while Jimmy Tupou and Dominic Bird will play at lock.  Loose forwards and Crusaders wider training group members Tom Sanders and Jed Brown will benefit from playing alongside experienced number eight, Kieran Read.

In the backs, Fijian international Nemani Nadolo returns on the wing, with Fijian age group representative Seta Koroitamana taking the other wing.  Crusaders wider training group members Richie Mo’unga and David Havili retain their positions from last week, at first five and centre.

Crusaders Luke Whitelock and Nafi Tuitavake come straight off Saturday night’s Crusaders game to take a place on the bench with the Knights.
The game will be played on Thursday afternoon in Porirua. It is is the third of four fixtures that the Crusaders Knights development team is playing this season.  The other three games are against the Highlanders Development team and have so far resulted in a 19-all draw and a 24-8 win for the Knights.
