Head Coach for the tour Glenn Moore has kept faith with the same match day squad of 23 which defeated Canada 40-22 in the opening game of the series.Moore said the coaching team had been very impressed with how the new players had performed against Canada.
“They all did really well. They were very motivated to deliver something special for their first outing and felt a great sense of pride in wearing the black jersey and the fern. The older players have taken a real leadership role with the younger ones which is great to see. “We’re just looking to put a bit of polish on how we performed against Canada when we play England.” England won the Women’s Rugby World Cup in 2014, and Moore said from what he had seen they were a well-conditioned and athletic side. “We want to keep working on the blueprint that worked so well for us last week and play an up tempo game. We want to try and have some pace to it. There’s a really upbeat buzz in the Black Ferns and we’re ready to go,” he said. He said despite temperatures over 30 degrees the women were coping well with the Canadian conditions.
