Allan and Watson join Scotland camp in St Andrews
Prop Alex Allan (Glasgow Warriors) and back-row Hamish Watson (Edinburgh Rugby) have been added to the Scotland squad for the pre-RBS 6 Nations camp in St Andrews.
The pair checked into the team hotel with the rest of the group last night (Sunday) and will begin preparations this afternoon (Monday), ahead of the national team’s opening fixture against England at BT Murrayfield on Saturday 6 February (kick-off 4.50pm) – live on BBC. The Scotland medical team also provided the following squad update: Centre Alex Dunbar sustained a mild posterior thigh strain in Glasgow Warriors’ 22-5 win over Racing 92 at Rugby Park in the European Champions Cup, and will require ongoing assessment and treatment. Fellow Warriors centre Mark Bennett continues to make good progress on the shoulder injury he sustained against Racing 92 in Paris earlier this month. |
