Herrera Red Card

Ramiro Herrera of the Jaguares has received a red card for foul play during a Super Rugby match at the weekend.

Herrera is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (g) Dangerous charging when he charged into an opponent on the ground and made contact with his opponent’s head during the match between the Kings and Jaguares at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, Port Elizabeth on 27 May 2016.

The Case is to be considered in the first instance by SANZAAR Duty Judicial Officer Michael Heron QC.

All SANZAAR disciplinary matters are in the first instance referred to a Duty Judicial Officer hearing to provide the option of expediting the judicial process.

For a matter to be dispensed with at this hearing, the person appearing must plead guilty and accept the penalty offered by the DJO.
