Oupa Mohoje to captain the Toyota Cheetahs

The Toyota Cheetahs will be taking on the Vodacom Bulls in their Vodacom Super Rugby match for 2016 on Saturday, 16 July in Toyota Stadium, Bloemfontein.  The game kicks off at 19:15.  Coach Franco Smith has announced his team for the encounter.

A couple of changes to the team for the last match: 

  • Charles Marais will be starting as loosehead prop, replacing Ox Nche.
  • Armandt Koster will be replacing Carl Wegner on lock.
  • Oupa Mohoje will be taking over the captaincy from Francois Venter who sustained a concussion during the match against the Sharks last weekend in Durban.
  • William Small-Smith will be running onto the field in the number 13 jersey. He is also the vice-captain.
  • Ryno Benjamin is chosen on the bench, making his return to Super Rugby after being sidelined due to an injury.

Curtain Raisers

In the first curtain raiser that kicks off at 14:30 the Toyota Free State Cheetahs u.19’s will be facing the Shark u.19 side and at 16:15 the Toyota Free State XV will be taking on the Boland Cavaliers.  Gates open at 13:30.

 

Entertainment

After the match, Robbie Wessels and Steve Hofmeyr will be providing entertainment on a stage in the stadium.

Ticket prices: Main Stand – R80, Open Stand – R60 for adults and R20 for kids.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.fscheetahs.co.za or at the Ticket office at Gate 8 (Att Horak Avenue) at Toyota Stadium.

Gates open at 11:30.
