Boland Cavaliers team to face WP at Newlands | 30 September 2016
Boland Cavaliers head coach Brent Janse van Rensburg has announced his team to take on Western Province on Friday 30 September, in a Currie Cup Premier Division match at Newlands Rugby Stadium.
Former Griquas player PJ Vermeulen has been named at inside centre for the clash against WP and will form a promising partnership with Gerrit van Wyk on his outside.
In the loose trio, Shaun Adendorff returns to openside flank, after missing last week’s match against the Blue Bulls due to a short suspension. Adendorff recently received a one week ban for a dangerous tackle against Griquas in Kimberley.
This match will also be the last for two stalwarts of the Boland Cavaliers, as Hanno Kitshoff and Marnus Hugo has announced their retirement from professional rugby after the 2016 season. Kitshoff and Hugo will be representing the Cavaliers for the 62nd and 76th time respectively, when they take the field against WP on Friday.
