Disciplinary update hearings
Disciplinary hearings will be held this week for the two players who received red cards in Saturday’s Autumn International between England and Argentina at Twickenham on Saturday:-
- England winger Elliot Daly’s hearing will be held on Monday 28 November before an independent Disciplinary Committee of three persons appointed by World Rugby and chaired by Kathrine Mackie (Scotland)
- Argentina replacement prop forward, Enrique Pieretto’s hearing will be held on Wednesday, via video-link from Argentina (where the player has returned) at the player’s request. The chair of the World Rugby-appointed Disciplinary Committee will also be Kathrine Mackie (Scotland).
In addition, a disciplinary hearing will be held in London on Tuesday for Dean Mumm, the Australia flank forward, who has been cited by the independent Citing Commissioner appointed by World Rugby at the match between Ireland and Australia on Saturday for an alleged dangerous “lifting” tackle, in the 22nd minute of the first half of the match at the Aviva Stadium. The independent World Rugby Disciplinary Committee will be chaired by Mike Hamlin (England).
The disciplinary hearing for USA Women’s wing Naya Tapper, who has been cited for allegedly kicking an opponent during the match between France Women and the USA at Montpellier on Friday, will be held, also via video-link, on Tuesday.
