The Cell C Sharks will be hosting Argentina’s rugby pride, the Jaguares, in Saturday’s round seven Vodacom Super Rugby clash at Growthpoint KINGS PARK.

Our players love playing at home and after two away matches against the Cheetahs and Lions, they are back to give our fans something to cheer about as they prepare for the visiting Jaguares.

Head coach Robert du Preez admits that “The boys have taken confidence out of the Lions game and have made a lot of progress.”

This Saturday’s match has a distant test match feel to it, especially since the Jaguares will be fielding a fully-fledged test team, with the exception of their scrumhalf.

“We are expecting massive physicality from them. They are a quality side and have really got into their own in their 2nd year in the competition.

“We’ve got a formidable pack that play with aggression. We want our guys to go out there and play their natural game, without holding back.

“The win is important and we don’t want to disappoint our fans.”

With both teams grouped in Africa 2 and with joint log points (18) and the number two spot in the group at stake, the scene is set for a humdinger in Durban.

Captain Tera Mtembu is excited for the challenge that lies ahead and says, “They are a quality side with great physicality, but so too are all the other sides in the competition, and we’ve got to simply man up on Saturday.”

The match kicks off at 15.05pm with exciting entertainment line-up for the family starting on our renowned outer fields.
