Vodacom Blue Bulls U19’s to face Leopards
Vodacom Blue Bulls coach, Dewey Swartbooi named Richman Gora in the starting team to play the Leopards in the SA Rugby Under-19 Provincial Championships on Friday. The scrumhalf started off the bench in the team’s win over the EP Kings last week and now swops places with Ginter Smuts, who will provide cover in Potchefstroom.
Swartbooi also changed his loose trio, where Prince Gaoseb has been ruled out. JC Pretorius comes into the starting team off the bench.
Another change on the bench is Chad Plato, who will replace Damian Bonaparte as outside back replacement.
The team has recovered from a slow start in the competition and has moved into a play-off position, but has played more matches than the Leopards, who is hot on their heels on the log.
The team is: Christian Strydom, Zandre Kruger, Jerome Bossr, Wian van Niekerk, Le-Irvin Andries, Xander Kruger, Richman Gora, Khwezi Mafu (c), Hanru Singel, JC Pretorius, William Nel, Ruan Nortje, Mornay Smit, Matthew Wessels, Luke Fortuin. Replacements: Werner Kruger, Etienne Janeke, Andre van der Merwe, Marco Fuhri, Ewart Potgieter, Ginter Smuts, Theo Boshoff, Chad Plato.
