It will be a case of first in, best price when tickets to the 2019 HSBC New Zealand Sevens go on sale at midday on Monday (7 May) and fans are being reminded to sign up online in advance for the best chance to secure seats at the two-day tournament.

The New Zealand leg of the HSBC Sevens World Series will return to Hamilton’s FMG Stadium on Auckland Anniversary weekend – 26-27 January – next year and the first tier of tickets sold at www.sevens.co.nz will be at 2018 prices.

“We wanted to reward the most passionate fans, so we’ve tiered the ticket prices to ensure the first people to buy tickets on Monday will get the best chance at the best price,” New Zealand Sevens General Manager Steve Dunbar said. “The crowd was a huge part of the success of the inaugural tournament in Hamilton and no doubt many of those people will be planning to come back next year and do it all over again.”

For those who get in early, two-day adult passes start from $87 and kids 14 and under are $7 a day, and to access those tickets fans must sign up at www.sevens.co.nz.

“Everyone who signs up will go into our Sevens database and will be sent an email on Monday with a password and a link to buy tickets when they go live at midday. It’s important for fans to sign up in advance so they don’t miss out,” Dunbar said.

The 2019 HSBC New Zealand Sevens promises to be bigger and better with organisers responding to demand by adding an extra 3000 seats to the Amber Zone (R18).

“This year’s sell-out event was a big success, but you can always do better,” Dunbar said. “We’ve listened to the fans and are conifdent their experience will be even more enjoyable than the inaugural event.”

37 South Managing Director and HSBC New Zealand Sevens partner Dallas Fisher said the tournament would continue to innovate and entertain fans.

“There will be something for everyone in 2019 with the extended family entertainment area on Willoughby Park feturing new rides and the VIP Amber bar on Mill Street offering live entertainment, additional seating, shade and a unique vibe.

“The Sevens in Hamilton is not standing still and I’m certain Hamiltonians and visitors alike will turn out again to passionately support the teams. It’s the fans who make the tournament a truly colourful and vibrant event.”

There are a limited number of tickets in each price category including allocated seating in the Blue Zone (Brian Perry Stand), general admission in the Amber Zone (R18 seating in the WEL Networks Stand and standing in the Green Zone), a picnic area in the Family Zone (Green Zone, grass embankment), and general admission seating in the White Zone (Goal line, alcohol free).

Sign up at www.sevens.co.nz for the chance to buy tickets.
