MCDONALD JONES STADIUM SOLD OUT FOR TOMORROW NIGHT’S TEST
Rugby Australia has today confirmed that Saturday’s eToro Tri Nations Test between Argentina and the Wallabies is officially a sell-out with the venue at its maximum saleable capacity.
Tickets for the final two Test matches of the historic 2020 eToro Tri Nations, to be played at McDonald Jones Stadium (28 November) and Bankwest Stadium in Sydney (5 December) are selling fast.
New Zealand will be out for revenge next Saturday when they square off against Argentina in Newcastle, following their memorable clash last weekend in Sydney.
The Test will also be the All Blacks final game of 2020 before the team returns to New Zealand ahead of next year’s Super Rugby Aotearoa.
Argentina will then turn their attention to the Wallabies at Bankwest Stadium on 5 December with Australia to wear their First Nations jersey in their last Test of the year.
The 2020 eToro Tri Nations title is up for grabs with each team boasting one win after three rounds.
Rugby Australia interim Chief Executive Rob Clarke said: “We are in for a special night on Saturday in Newcastle. This tournament is just getting better and better, and I’m excited to see what we have in store over the last three rounds.
“Argentina were terrific last week and with a couple of wily heads in the coaching box in Mario Ledesma and Michael Cheika, I’m sure they have a few more tricks up their sleeve!
“And what a game next weekend promises to be with the All Blacks desperate to finish the year on a high. This really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans in the Hunter region – to see the world-famous All Blacks at McDonald Jones Stadium.
“Then we wrap up 2020 at Bankwest Stadium on December 5, and it could still be all to play for with the trophy on the line for both Argentina and the Wallabies. The atmosphere last weekend at Bankwest Stadium was electric and I know that will go up a notch come the final round,” Clarke said.
