Free State Rugby is delighted to announce the signing of a new flyhalf, Brandon Thomson.

The 25-year-old former Junior Springbok, Brandon Thomson, is the latest player to pen a deal with the Toyota Cheetahs.

Thomson, who hails from Mpumalanga joins the Toyota Cheetahs on a contract that will run until the end of October 2022.

He represented the Pumas at the Craven Week in 2012 and 2013 and excelled in both tournaments.

In 2013 Thomson represented South Africa Schools, and two years later he scored 59 points for the BabyBoks in five matches during the 2015 World Rugby U20 World Championships in Italy.

He joins the Toyota Cheetahs following a stint with the Glasgow Warriors where he played 20 games for the Scottish team from 2017 to 2021.

He previously also played for the University of Stellenbosch Maties, as well as Western Province and the Stormers before heading to Scotland.
