Rugby fans and partygoers wishing to re-live the magic of the DHL Stadium rugby experience can do so for as little as R250 when the HSBC SVNS Cape Town returns to the Mother City on 7-8 December 2024.

Fresh from the Boks’ sellout sensation against the All Blacks 11 days ago, fans can book another slice of magic and mark the unofficial start of summer on the SA calendar as the SVNS extravaganza returns.

Tickets and hospitality packages for the highly popular event, which will yet again feature South Africa’s Olympic medal-winning Springbok Sevens team, will go on general sale on Ticketmaster at 09h00 next Wednesday, 25 September, although there will be early-bird offerings through some channels, including the loyalty club and BokSquad.

Seats cost between R250 and R800 per day, making it more affordable than ever. The event will yet again feature a unique festival of sport, entertainment and culture set against the stunning backdrop of Table Mountain.

The tournament will feature the Olympic gold medal winning French men and New Zealand women’s teams, among the 12 teams in each competition, as well as Olympic sensations such as the USA women’s and Fijian men’s teams, while all the action will happen inside the DHL Stadium, creating a thrilling atmosphere.

SA Rugby CEO Rian Oberholzer said the local organising committee would once again aim to provide the “gold standard” when it comes to combining rugby and entertainment.

“Over the years, we’ve invested an enormous amount of thought and effort into producing this event and making it worthwhile for our supporters, and one of the areas we’ve had good feedback on is the cost of tickets, which is why we’ve ensured tickets are accessible and attractively priced for all fans,” said Oberholzer.

“Although fans from all over the world flock to Cape Town for this event – which has been voted the Best Live Experience in South Africa twice – we have to keep in mind our local supporters who love to attend this celebration of rugby and entertainment, and we’re certain tickets to this popular event will once again be a highly sought after item

“The Springboks have sold out five Tests so far this year and to return to the venue of their last clash on local soil, the DHL Stadium, will be wonderful. The whole experience on 7 September will be remembered for a long time and we’re going to try and raise the bar in December, giving fans a unique Cape Town experience while they enjoy seeing 24 of the world’s best teams in action.”

Oberholzer also repeated the warning to supporters to not be tempted to purchase from resellers, other online agencies or companies offering tickets and hospitality packages, as these cannot be guaranteed.

“Tickets will only be available from Ticketmaster and we urgently warn fans not to buy from online ‘re-sellers’ such as Viagogo and others, who charge inflated prices without any guarantee of tickets at the end,” said Oberholzer.

“People have lost money and been left disappointed and angry when they don’t receive these expensive tickets, and our message remains loud, clear and very simple: only buy through the official channels, in this case Ticketmaster.”
