ADAM COLEMAN SIGNS UNTIL THE END OF 2019
Qantas Wallabies lock Adam Coleman has signed with Australian Rugby, committing to a two-year deal with Rugby Australia and the Melbourne Rebels until the end of 2019.
The 26-year old, who boasts 20 Test caps, now has his sights set firmly on the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
Qantas Wallabies lock, Adam Coleman said: “I’m excited to get down to Melbourne and join up with the boys. They have made some great signings, that have nicely added to the talented guys that are already there.
“There’s a nice balance of experience and some great young players, so we’ll be aiming to give Super Rugby a good shake next year.
“Obviously Dave (Wessels) was a big factor, but I definitely wanted to stay in Australian Rugby. I love playing in the Gold jersey for the Wallabies and I think we’re building something special for the 2019 Rugby World Cup,” Coleman said.
Coleman, who made his Super Rugby debut for the NSW Waratahs, has now established himself as a Wallabies mainstay.
The Tasmanian junior has flown home from the Wallabies 2017 Spring Tour after injuring his thumb against Wales at Principality Stadium.
