Adriaan Carelse set to reach 50-caps for Boland Cavaliers
Adriaan Carelse is set to make his 50th appearance for the Boland Cavaliers when they face Western Province in Worcester on Saturday 9 June 2018.
Carelse has been selected at fullback for this tough, top-of-the-table (southern section) clash in the Supersport Rugby Challenge, which will be taking place at the Esselen Park Stadium.
This provincial derby encounter will form part of one of South Africa’s biggest club derby matches, as Young Hamiltons is set to take on Villagers Worcester in a Boland Grand Challenge club match at the same venue.
Boland Cavaliers head coach Randall Modiba has selected a near full-strength team, with flanker Ludio Williams returning to the starting XV after recovering from a leg injury.
Modiba has also selected two debutants on the bench for this match, namely former SA Schools scrum-half Jaywin Juries and Robertson Rugby Club centre Andries Viljoen. Viljoen is a former Boland u.20 player.
