ALL BLACKS STEAMROLL BOKS
The Springboks were run rampant by a peerless All Blacks team in their 41-13 Castle Lager Rugby Championship defeat in Christchurch over the weekend.
It was an evenly matched contest until the half-time break with the Boks trailing by only five points.
Statistics taken from the All Out Rugby App powered by Vodacom, demonstrate how the All Blacks dominated the South African side with the ball in hand running in six tries to only one by South Africa.
The home side made full use of the 51 percent possession they enjoyed in the match making 95 carries compared to the 73 by the visiting side.
Throwing the South African defence into disarray the All Blacks made 14 Clean Breaks to two, beating nine more defenders (22-13) than their African counterparts.
New Zealand made more than double the amount of running metres than the Springboks covering 515 metres with the ball in hand (515 to 237).
The Springboks made only one turnover less than the hosts, while they collected six more loose balls in the match.
South Africa’s defensive system ultimately unravelled as they made 62 tackles but slipping 22, compared to the 80 by the All Blacks and the 13 they missed.
The Boks made two fewer handling errors compared to the previous match making 10 to the nine by the All Blacks.
In the set-piece little separated the two sides with the teams winning 12 lineouts on their own ball each, while the Kiwis won 10 scrums on their own put in compared to six by the Boks with both sides conceding two each.
