Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-19 coach Paul Anthony made numerous changes to his undefeated team for their Absa Under-19 Provincial Championship clash against the Leopards in Pretoria on Friday.

Injuries to regulars like Daniel Kriel and Corne Cooper, an Under-21 call-up to Kobus Marais and his rotational policy resulted in Anthony making a number of positional changes from the team that defeated the Sharks in Durban last weekend.

Jesse Kriel is back at fullback after being called back to the Under-21 at short notice. Ganfried May moves to the wing. Daniel Kriel sustained a hip injury and that gives Duncan Mathews a start at outside centre. With Marais gone, JP Smith moves to flyhalf and Kobus Wolmarans comes in at nine.

The pack also sees some changes, with yet another new loose forward combination. This time Chris Massyn starts at 8, Jean Droste moves from lock to flank and Ngako Ralepelle will make his first appearance in the starting team at openside.

Fit again Nicolaas Janse van Rensburg takes over from Droste at lock. Wilco Louw is back in the regular starting front row, swopping places with Nqoba Mxoli, who moves to the bench.

The likes of Reegan Smith and Johan Ras could make their first start of the season if they get game time off the bench. The match at Loftus B starts at 15h00.

The team is: Jesse Kriel, Keagon Gordon, Duncan Mathews, Rohan Janse van Rensburg, Ganfried May, JP Smith, Kobus Wolmarans, Chris Massyn, Jean Droste, Ngako Ralepelle, Nicolaas Janse van Rensburg, Justin Basson, Wilco Louw, Corniel Els, Pierre Schoeman. Replacements: Arno van Wyk, Nqoba Mxoli, Riekert Hattingh, Reegan Smith, Cameron Anthony, HG de Klerk, Caswell Khoza, Johan Ras.
