ARGENTINA TO PLAY AT GROWTHPOINT KINGS PARK
Durban, 15 December 2014: The Sharks are pleased to announce that we have been awarded one of the only two Castle Lager Rugby Championship games to be played in South Africa in 2015.
On Saturday 8 August 2015, South Africa plays Argentina at Growthpoint KINGS PARK.
Commenting on the decision, The Sharks CEO John Smit said: “We are delighted that we have managed to secure one of the two tests to be played in South Africa during a World Cup year.
“In the 2014 Rugby Championship Argentina showed a lot of character and proved that they have the ability to effectively challenge the best in world rugby. With the Rugby World Cup scheduled to kick-off soon after the championship, this certainly is going to be an exciting encounter between two teams who will be looking to assert their dominance ahead of the start of the global showpiece.”
“We are also excited to be shortlisted as one of the potential venues to host the All Blacks in 2016, which will be a major boost for our City and fans”, Smit added.
Further information pertaining to the Argentinian test will be made available to supporters in due course.
