Arnold appeal hearing postponed
The appeal hearing of GWK Griquas lock Rory Arnold has been postponed until Monday 9 September, the South African Rugby Union (SARU) announced on Friday.
On Wednesday a SARU judicial hearing found Arnold guilty of contravening Law 10.4(m) following a bite incident in the Griquas’ Absa Currie Cup clash against the Toyota Free State Cheetahs last Saturday. The player was handed a suspension of seven matches.
According to the sanction, the player is suspended from all forms of rugby up to and including 19 October 2013, pending the appeal.
