ASICS’ Blitzboks Ambassadors Go for Gold in Rio

ASICS ambassadors Seabelo Senatla, Werner Kok and Philip Snyman have been selected as part of the Blitzboks squad for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Sevens tournament in Rio will be contested between 6 and 11 August. The Blitzboks are amongst the favourites for the gold medal after finishing second during the 2015/2016 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.
Seabelo Senatla set the 2015/2016 Sevens scene alight with his blistering pace and ability to score tries out of nothing on his way to scoring the most tries in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.
Philip Snyman recently joined the ASICS family and has been a solid presence in coach Neil Powell’s side throughout the season as the team finished second overall on the log. Philip also captained the side during multiple legs of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series over the past season.
Werner Kok made a successful return from injury with solid performances in the Rome 7’s and Assupol 7’s, after missing most of the 2016 season and will be aiming to make up for lost time as the team chases gold.
All three players will be taking to the field in the ASICS GEL-Lethal Speed boots in Rio.
