Australian Rugby Development Centre – Construction Activity Update
Construction of the Australian Rugby Development Centre (ARDC) at Moore Park is on track for completion in September 2017.
The construction of the basement car park and all five storeys is nearing completion, right on schedule. The next phase of work will include service connections, finishing access and driveway construction and then façade and internal fixtures and fit out.
The ARDC construction site will be shut down between 23 December and 9 January. During this time site security mechanisms will be put in place.
Service connections:
Electrical connections will be delivered to the building via trenches. Preliminary work will start before the end of the year with trenching planned for commencement in early January.
Starting in February, work on installing a new small electrical sub-station and landscape screening near the gate four entrance will take place.
Building access and driveway construction:
Entry and access to basement parking for the completed ARDC will be from a new driveway to the medical centre car park on Moore Park Road. The driveway section between the boundary and Moore Park Road has been completed.
The work on the new pavements and driveway to the building will be commencing soon. Constructing this new access point while maintaining pedestrian and vehicle access means this work will take place over a number of stages from now through to March 2017.
These stages include:
– Finalising modifications to the medical centre car park which started mid-October and;
– Finishing the construction of a new driveway on Moore Park Road and starting pavement works in January 2017.
All efforts will be made during this time to minimise disruption and ensure vehicle and pedestrian access is maintained. We appreciate your patience during this time.
