The Vodacom Rugby Stats App, the most powerful tool in the hands of rugby supporters in South Africa, continues to blow users’ socks off with more functionality covering more competitions in 2015.

Since its launch at the beginning of this year, the App has been through various improvements which has seen it reach a milestone when it surged past one million sessions – the amount of times rugby supporters went into the App to activate the stats.

It did not only prove popular with rugby supporters but also in the social and digital media space where the Vodacom Rugby Stats App won Gold in the Most Innovative App category at the New Generation Social and Digital Media Awards in Johannesburg at the end of October.

The Vodacom Rugby Stats App – available for free on iOS, Android and BB10 and now available in the Windows Store – gives users access to 28 categories of statistics for individual rugby players – from passes and points to metres run and tackles made. This gives the rugby-loving public unprecedented insight into the game they adore.

The App was initially launched to give supporters access to cutting-edge game analysis and stats during the 2014 Vodacom SupeRugby.

With rugby being played all-year round, the Vodacom Rugby Stats App had been expanded to include the Absa Currie Cup, the Castle Lager Rugby Championship and now the Springboks’ end-of-year tour.

The App has gone through some major improvements and an updated version is available for supporters to download.

The rugby-loving public is in for a treat in 2015 as the Vodacom Rugby Stats App will include more tournaments and new functionality.

If you’ve already got it, upgrade it.  If you don’t have it, get it.
