Barbarians coach Nick Mallet has named a formidable side to face the Springboks at Twickenham on Saturday 4 December.

Matt Giteau will spearhead a dangerous backline consisting of only All Blacks and Wallabies. Gitaeu was also handed the captains armband.

Stormers and Western Province player Anton van Zyl will make his Barbarians debut alongside former team mate Chris Jack and they will be looking to disrupt the Springboks’ most dangerous set piece. the lineout.

The 22-man Barbarians team consists of only four Northern Hemisphere players while the majority of players are made up by players from New Zealand and Australia with one South African and a Fijian filling the gaps.
