Bakkies Botha receives 4 week ban
Bakkies Botha has been handed a four week ban for recklessly and dengerously entering a ruck following a lengthy disciplinary hearing on Monday and Tuesday.
Botha, who was involved in a three hour hearing yesterday, was handed the severe ban on Tuesday.
Botha was cited for charging into a ruck early on during the game between the Stormers and the Bulls last weekend after making contact with Gio Aplon who required treatment on the field following the incident.
Botha will miss both the Super 14 semi-final and a possible final should the Bulls progress without his services.
The suspension means Bakkies will also miss the Springbok test against Wales (which he was unlikely to be selected for due to his involvement with the Bulls) on June 5 and the Test against France on June 12.
