Black Ferns and All Blacks join Governor-General in hosting kids rugby session
Players from the All Blacks and the World Champion Black Ferns will help coach young Auckland rugby players tomorrow on the hallowed turf at Government House in Auckland – the second time The Governor-General, The Rt Hon Dame Patsy Reddy, has hosted the event.
Children from a variety of Auckland schools have been invited by Dame Patsy and husband Sir David Gascoigne and will take part in the training session with the players.
Dame Patsy said: “I’m really looking forward to welcoming the All Blacks and the Black Ferns for the skills and drills event. It’s very generous of them to take the time to share their expertise with younger players and I’m sure the students attending will go home inspired.”
The event follows on from the first training session hosted by Dame Patsy at Government House, Wellington, during the DHL New Zealand Lions Series.
