BNZ Crusaders name team to play Reds
The BNZ Crusaders will play the Reds at AMI Stadium this Friday 6th May, 7.35pm. Crusaders Head Coach Todd Blackadder has named his team to play the Reds making five changes to the starting fifteen that beat the Brumbies 40-14 last weekend.
Wyatt Crockett, Mike Alaalatoa and Codie Taylor make up the front row with Joe Moody and Owen Franks providing cover from the bench. The locking partnership of Scott Barrett and Sam Whitelock takes to the field moving Luke Romano into the reserves.
Johnny McNicholl returns from a toe injury moving Jone Macilai into the number 11 jersey.
While Mitchell Drummond starts as half back with Andy Ellis taking a place on the reserves bench.
Crusaders Head Coach Todd Blackadder encourages fans to come out in support of the team on Friday night. “We are heading into the second half of the competition now so each game has an increased importance from here on in. We want to make the most of the home ground advantage each time we are home so I encourage the fans come out in force this week.”
“The Reds are a traditional rival of ours who always lift their game when they play us and we expect nothing less on Friday night. There is no doubt that the Reds will be disappointed with their run in the competition so far but this is when teams are often at their most dangerous so we are taking nothing for granted this week.”
Tickets are still available and start from as little as $16 for an adult, $7.50 for children or $24 for one adult and one child on a Take a Kid to Footy ticket. Tickets can be purchased through Ticket Direct (0800 224 224 or ticketdirect.co.nz) or The Warehouse.
