BNZ Crusaders team to play the Jaguares
Ryan Crotty will play his 100th game for the BNZ Crusaders this Friday night. He starts at second five against the Jaguares and will notch up the ton in front of a home crowd at AMI Stadium.
BNZ Crusaders Head Coach Todd Blackadder has made five changes to the starting line-up that beat the Force last weekend, including the return of Israel Dagg at fullback.
Props Joe Moody and Wyatt Crockett have rotated so that Moody takes the starting spot this week. Scott Barrett will pair up with Luke Romano at lock and Jimmy Tupou will provide cover.
Andy Ellis will be the starting halfback and Kieron Fonotia will start at centre. Mitchell Drummond, Sean Wainui and Ben Volavola will provide cover for the backs, while loose forward Tim Boys also comes onto the bench this week.
Blackadder said it would be a memorable occasion, hosting the Jaguares at AMI Stadium for the first time and also celebrating Crotty’s 100th cap.
“It has been a quick turnaround this week, from returning from Perth on Sunday to playing on Friday night, but there will be no problem keeping motivation and energy levels up for the team, with a home crowd to play in front of and an exciting new team to face. The boys will also be keen to ensure that it is a memorable night for their good mate Ryan Crotty. He is a pivotal member of this team and to reach 100 games already is testament to the commitment and hard work that he has put in. We have been privileged to have him in the team for the last 99 games and we hope to have him around for many more.”
Kick off is at 7:35pm this Friday night and tickets are available through www.ticketdirect.co.nz, ph. 0800 224 224 or visit participating branches of The Warehouse. Ticket purchasers are encouraged to also fill up at Mobil this week so that they can enter the Mobil Golden Boots halftime competition and kick their way to $250k – more information is available atwww.goldenboots.co.nz
