Andy Ellis will play his 150th BNZ Crusaders game this Friday night when they host the Waratahs at AMI Stadium in Christchurch.  He will be just the third Crusader to reach this milestone (joining Corey Flynn and Wyatt Crockett).

BNZ Crusaders Head Coach Todd Blackadder has made just two changes to the team – rotations at both prop and second five, with Joe Moody and Ryan Crotty taking the starting spots, and Wyatt Crockett and David Havili moving to the bench.

Blackadder said it would be a special occasion for Ellis, but also for the whole team who will be determined to make it a night to remember for their teammate.
“Andy is such a popular member of this team and we all want this to be a memorable night for him, for all the right reasons.  150 games is a significant milestone that only a few players can lay claim to, and Andy deserves all the credit he gets this week.

“It is particularly special for Andy to mark this milestone in front of a home crowd.  This is the last home game we’ll play until July, so it would be great to get a strong turnout on Friday night to cheer the team on,” Blackadder said.

Kick off is at 7:35pm this Friday night and tickets are available through www.ticketdirect.co.nz, ph. 0800 224 224 or visit participating branches of The Warehouse.  Ticket purchasers are encouraged to also fill up at Mobil this week so that they can enter the Mobil Golden Boots halftime competition and kick their way to $250k – more information is available at www.goldenboots.co.nz
