Cashback World and THE SHARKS initiate cooperation
The successful South African rugby provincial team THE SHARKS and the international Shopping Community Cashback World have joined forces. Through this cooperation, THE SHARKS will become a part of the international Shopping Community with THE SHARKS Cashback Programme. The Shopping Community offers its 8 million Members numerous attractive shopping benefits.
During a press conference held in Durban on 20. April 2018, THE SHARKS and Cashback World presented THE SHARKS Cashback Programme to the public.
As part of this cooperation, Cashback World provides the club and its fans with an innovative Cashback Programme, which includes THE SHARKS Cashback Card, a Cashback app as well as an online shopping portal in the club’s own design.

THE SHARKS Cashback Programme
- For every purchase made online or in store at a Loyalty Merchant, Members of THE SHARKS Cashback Programme will receive up to 5% Cashback and additionally collect Shopping Points, which they can redeem for special offers at the Loyalty Merchants listed at cashback.sharksrugby.co.za.
- Members of THE SHARKS Cashback Programme can secure these shopping benefits when making purchases at over 80,000 Loyalty Merchants in 47 countries worldwide, more than 3,500 of which are located in South Africa.
- Up to 1% of all purchases made by fans through THE SHARKS Cashback Programme will go directly to the projects supported by the club.
- The programme enables even smaller companies to become part of the international Shopping Community and to grant their customers shopping benefits.
