Cavaliers name team to face WP at Newlands
The Boland Cavaliers have named their team to take on Western Province in a Supersport Rugby Challenge match at Newlands Rugby Stadium on Saturday.
The most notable change to Boland’s team is at flyhalf, where Adriaan Carelse replaces Elgar Watts in the starting XV. Watts, who has recovered from a minor leg injury sustained in the win over the Border Bulldogs in East London, has been named on the bench.
Fiery loosehead prop Arnout Malherbe has also been included in the team as a reserve, and will be making his first appearance for the Cavaliers since his shoulder injury and surgery in 2017. Kyle Kruger and Clinton Theron will start at prop, with Malherbe and Stefaan Grundlingh providing cover from the bench.
The Boland Cavaliers vs DHL Western Province match will kick-off at 12:15 and will be a curtain raiser for the Super Rugby match between the DHL Stormers and the Vodacom Bulls at 15:00.
