A number of players with Vodacom Super Rugby experience have been included in the matchday 22 by coach Michael Horak, players who have proved themselves at a higher level but in need of game time and certain to add value in this crucial match.

Heimar Williams is one who has a number of Super Rugby caps on his belt and the intelligent player has been moved from centre – his regular starting position – to flyhalf and he will call on the experience of S’bura Sithole and Wandile Mjekevu in the backline.

Similarly, captain Khaya Majola will no doubt lean on the leadership skills of Cell C Sharks 2014 Currie Cup captain Tera Mtembu and Test capped hooker Chilliboy Ralepelle. Francois Kleinhans, another player with plenty of experience will provide cover off the bench.

The Cell C Sharks XV have the same number of points, but have two games in hand over the EP Kings and this is a match they know they have to not only perform well in, but secure the win that could elevate them a couple of places up the log.
