Cheetahs forced to makes changes for Pumas
Toyota Free State Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske today announced his team to face the Ford Pumas for their ABSA Currie Cup clash on Friday, with injuries forcing Drotske to make changes to the team that drew 25 all against the MTN Golden Lions on Saturday afternoon.
Johan Goosen is not available for selection after a big collision with Lions fullback Jaco Taute left him concussed and saw him stretchered off the field. Sias Ebersohn takes up the vacant number 10 jersey in Goosen’s absence with utility back Riaan Smit providing cover on the bench.
Another casualty from the Lions game is prop Coenie Oosthuizen who injured his neck in Saturday’s battle and has also been ruled out for the rest of the season. Oosthuizen is replaced by a fit again WP Nel.
In one other change, Philip Snyman slots in at inside centre with Andries Strauss dropping down to the bench.
The Cheetahs play the Pumas on Friday night @ 19h10 in Witbank.
