Cheetahs team to take on the Brumbies
The Toyota Cheetah Head Coach, Naka Drotske announced the team to take on the Brumbies on Saturday, 4 April at 10:40 (SA Time) in Canberra, Australia.

Previous encountersBen O’Keeffe of New Zealand will be the referee for Saturday’s SupeRugby Round 8 match between the Brumbies and the Toyota Cheetahs at the Gio Stadium, Canberra.
This will be the 10th SupeRugby encounter between the two teams since 8 April 2006. The Brumbies are leading with seven wins to the two wins of the Toyota Cheetahs. It will also be the sixth time the teams meet at the Gio Stadium in Canberra since the first Canberra encounter on 8 April 2006. The Brumbies won all five previous matches in Canberra. The last time the Brumbies hosted the Toyota Cheetahs they won the play-off on 20 July 2013 when they won by 15-13 – the Toyota Cheetahs scored two tries to none. A couple of changes have been made to the team:
- Fullback Willie le Roux, centres Johann Sadie and Francois Venter, Tian Meyer, lock Carl Wegner, hooker Torsten van Jaarsveld, props Coenie Oosthuizen and Danie Mienie are all changes.
- Springboks Willie le Roux and Coenie Oosthuizen are making their return after being rested last week in accordance with the agreement with SA Rugby.
- Scrumhalf Sarel Pretorius, who missed the first two games of the tour as he attended the birth of his second son in Bloemfontein, is a welcome arrival in the camp. Pretorius will be playing from the bench with Tian Meyer in the starting line-up.
- Johann Sadie has recovered from flu, which made him a last minute withdrawal last week in Hamilton, and will take his place in the midfield together with Francois Venter. They are replacing Ryno Benjamin and Michael van der Spuy.
- Willie Britz moves from flanker to number eight and Boom Prinsloo will be wearing the number 7 jersey.
- Carl Wegner and Steven Sykes, Torsten van Jaarsveld and Stephan Coetzee, and Danie Mienie and BG Uys switch places.
- Tienie Burger is new on the bench. He replaced Oupa Mohoje on tour, who returned home after suffering from a groin injury.
- The Toyota Cheetahs have lost Jean Cook to an abdominal muscle injury. He returned home and Carel Greeff joined the team earlier this week.
- Francois Venter is the Vice-Captain
