The Chiefs, who are currently top of the New Zealand Investec Super Rugby conference, have announced their team to play the Bulls this Friday night at 7.35pm at Waikato Stadium.

Friday nights match will be Chiefs co-captain Liam Messam’s 90th match for the Chiefs, making him the highest capped Chief of all time, surpassing the previous record of 89 games, set by winger Sitiveni Sivivatu.

Coach Dave Rennie has made some changes to his starting line up with some players returning back from injury.  Props Toby Smith and Ben Afeaki start, with Afeaki playing his first game for the Chiefs since his round one injury.  Jackson Willison replaces the injured Richard Kahui and Robbie Robinson comes on to the bench.   Halfback Tawera Kerr-Barlow starts with Brendon Leonard moving to the reserves and Kane Thompson starts at No8.

The Chiefs Secondary Schools competition, the Chiefs Cup and Chiefs Trophy finals will be played on Friday before the Chiefs v Bulls match.  In the knock out competition, schools have worked their way into the finals.  In the Chiefs Trophy,ThamesHigh Schoolwill play Pukekohe High School at Beetham Parkin Hamilton at 3.30pm and playing for the Chiefs Cup, Hamilton Boy sHigh School will play Manurewa High School at 5.15pm at Waikato Stadium as a curtain raiser for the Chiefs match.

As the match is expected to sell well, fans are encouraged to buy tickets early and to get to the game early to avoid the queues.  Gates open at 5.00pm.

Ticket prices for the match start at $5 for Kids (plus service fee) and $10 for Adults (plus service fee).  Tickets are available from www.chiefs.co.nz, from Gate 1 at Waikato Stadium on Wednesday and Thursday between 10am and 6pm and from Friday 9am until halftime.  Ticket kiosks are also at The Warehouse stores throughout the Chiefs region.   For full information on where to buy tickets in your area go to www.chiefs.co.nz/tickets.
