Loftus In-seat Ordering A First for South African Sports Lovers
Tech innovator, hi.guru in partnership with rugby powerhouse, The Vodacom Blue Bulls and telecommunications giant, Vodacom, are set to debut a first of its kind, smart in-seat ordering solution, which will be available at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, ahead of the Currie Cup game on the 19th of July, 2019.
The concept is simple yet exceptionally useful. When at the stadium, using their channel of choice, fans can visit the unique web link, scan the QR code found on match schedule cards and posters or contact the Blue Bulls via their FB messenger page (WhatsApp functionality to follow in the near future) and proceed to view the menu items available for ordering, at specific seats. From there, fans can order their food and pay for their order directly through a secure interface and within minutes their food is delivered, by means of a runner, to their seat. The link between human ordering and order processing is done through a chatbot, powered by AI technology.
Ingrid Olivier, MD at hi.guru is quoted as saying, “We are thrilled to partner with two such phenomenal brands and use our advanced technology to create something so simple, useful and fun to use by sports fans.”
This new innovative collaboration is set to transform the food ordering experience and take the fan experience, at in-stadium events, to new heights, giving more profound meaning to the phrase, never miss a moment.
