The annual Coca-Cola® Rugby Youth Weeks festivals kick off a month of the best in schoolboy rugby, with the first tournament, the U13 Coca-Cola Craven Week, taking place at Glenwood High School in Durban from Monday, 30 June – Friday, 4 July.

 

The Coca-Cola® Rugby Youth Weeks take place annually and comprises of four age categorised rugby tournaments, namely the U13 Coca-Cola Craven Week, the U16 Coca-Cola® Grant Khomo Week, the U18 Coca-Cola® Academy Week and the U18 Coca-Cola® Craven Week, in which schoolboys representing their respective regions, compete against one another.

 

Now in its 51st year, the Coca-Cola Craven Week has become synonymous as the platform for showcasing the best in South African, up and coming, youth rugby talent and is the hunting ground for both national and provincial scouts.

 

Fetsi Mbele, Coca-Cola South Africa Marketing Assets Manager comments, “Coca-Cola South Africa is proud to once again be partnering with SARU on the Coca-Cola® Rugby Youth Weeks. This will be the 29th year of our sponsorship and we have had the privilege of witnessing first-hand the success of the Coca-Cola® Youth Weeks and the incredible foundation it has created for schoolboy rugby in South Africa.  The Coca-Cola Craven Weeks also signifies the importance of getting the youth active and living an active healthy lifestyle through sport participation.”
