Code Blue Emergency call to Blues Fans
Code Blue! Code Blue! It’s an emergency and we’re calling Code Blue to all Blues fans.
This weekend’s mighty local derby between the Blues and the Chiefs always means an onslaught of Chiefs fans heading up SH1 and swarming into Eden Park.
“This is the Blues’ fortress and we need to hold onto the home advantage by owning that stadium on Saturday night – on the field and in the stands,” said Blues head coach Sir John Kirwan.
While the Chiefs currently lead the New Zealand Conference, this local derby between franchise neighbours is always a cracker and fans can expect nothing less this time around.
Captain Ali Williams said fans shouldn’t underestimate the impact and inspiration they give to the team and urges Blues fans to deck themselves out in blue from head to toe and make a real statement.
“Our fans have been fantastic this season and we need them to give a clear message to our visitors that the garden of Eden is our bastion and a flood of blue in the stands on thousands of fans is the way to do it,” said Williams.
Tickets sales are already strong with nearly 20,000 pre-sold.
“We are under no illusion – this is going to be a mighty encounter and that’s what Code Blue is all about.
“We need our fans to get their Blue gear on – wigs, hats, scarves, whatever they’ve got that’s blue and really ‘bring it’ for our last home game of the season,” said Kirwan.
Save by purchasing prior to game day and use your pre-purchased ticket to travel to and from the match.
