Combrinck, Lewies, Smith in starting XV
Three changes have been made to the Emirates Lions starting line-up for the Vodacom Super Rugby encounter with the DHL Stormers in Cape Town on Saturday.
Ruan Combrinck (14), Kwagga Smith (7) and Stephan Lewies (5) have all been included in the Starting XV while Sti Sithole, Gianni Lombard and Sylvian Mahuza comes in on the bench.
Interesting Facts:
• Elton Jantjies played in his 107th match for the Emirates Lions (the most appearances) in Vodacom Super Rugby, and extended his career points to 978. The latter tally, the most by a player, includes 9 tries, 231 conversions, 152 penalties and 5 drop goals. Adding his 13 Super matches and 21 points for the Stormers he has scored now 989 points in 120 matches in Super Rugby Elton could score his 1000th point in Super Rugby in next weekend’s game.
• Lionel Mapoe, Courtnall Skosan and Malcolm Marx, all on 27 tries, have scored the most career tries for the Super Lions. They played in 94, 55 and 60 matches respectively.
